Pure Pond Town, belonging to Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the northern part of Zhouning County, neighboring Xiaoyang Town, Fuan City and Fengyang Township, Shouning County to the east, Puyuan Township and Siqiao Township to the south, Chengyuan Township, Zhenghe County to the west, and Pingxi Township, Shouning County to the north. The land area of the township is 204.35 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Pure Pond Township had a household population of 23,538. The ancient name of Pure Pond Town was Chunjiang. Because there is a small hill in the main village, on both sides of the creek clip flow intersection in the end of the village in the field ocean next to a large tree, looks like a wooden boat moored in the river, so the old name of the boat river, and elegantly known as the Chunjiang. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1862~1874), the original name of Chunjiang was changed to Chunchi to avoid the taboo of Emperor Muzhong of the Qing Dynasty, and in March 1963, Chunchi District was set up, and in August 1966, Chunchi Commune was renamed Chunchi Commune. 1984, Chunchi Township was set up after the abolition of the commune, and on August 8, 1995, the township was changed from a township to a township, and was set up as Chunchi Township. As of June 2020, Pure Pond Town has 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
