Siqiao Township, belonging to Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the northwestern part of Zhouning County, northeast of the pure pool town across the lake, southeast of Puyuan Township border, northwest of Zhenghe County, Zhenqian Township, Chengyuan Township, adjacent to the east and west of the Min gate. The total area of the jurisdiction is 100.1 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, the household population of Siqiao Township was 16,133. Siqiao Township is known as Si Zhou Bridge, or Siqiao for short, because of the four bridges over the Si Shui River that passed through the village in the olden days, leading to four forks of the ancient road.In August 1961, 12 brigades were separated from Pure Pond Commune and Siqiao Commune was established.In March 1963, Siqiao was merged into Puyuan District.In August 1966, Siqiao Commune was resumed.In April 1984, Siqiao Township was set up.The area of Siqiao Township is located in the township of Pudong, which is the main gateway to the east and west of Fujian. As of June 2020, Siqiao Township has 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
