Zhanghu Town, belonging to Yanping District, Nanping City, Fujian Province, is located in the southern part of Yanping District, bordering Huangtian Town and Shukou Town, Gutian County, Ningde City, in the east, Minqing County, Fuzhou City, in the southeast, bordering Youxikou Town, Xibin Town and Yangzhong Town, Youxi County, Sanming City, in the southwest, neighboring Taiping Town in the northwest, and connecting with Jukou Township in the north, with an area of administrative area of 199.01 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Zhanghu Town was 12,223 people. During the Song Dynasty, it was a part of Chuiyu Township, and in September 1984, it was changed to Zhanghu Township, and in January 1995, it was abolished as a city and became a district, belonging to Yanping District of Nanping City.
