Blotting Town, belonging to Jizhou District of Tianjin, is located 6 kilometers south of Jizhou District, on the west bank of the Zhou River. It is adjacent to Zhouhewan Town, Bieshan Town and Limingzhuang Town to the east across the Zhou River, Bangjun Town to the west, Dongzhaogezhuang Town to the south, and Guanzhuang Town and Yuyang Town to the north, with a total area of 27.67 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Blotting Township was 27,064.
In 1953, Blotter Township was established; in 2001, it was changed from Blotter Township to Blotter Town. As of June 2020, Blotting Township has 32 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township's people's government stationed in Blotting Village.
