Dongshigu Town, belonging to Jizhou District of Tianjin, is located in the central part of Jizhou District, bordering Shangcang Town in the east, Xiwotou Town in the south, Dongzhaogezhuang Town and Dong Erying Town in the north, and Youguzhuang Town and Houjiaying Town in the west, with a total area of 27.48 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dongshigu Town has a household population of 17,153. In 1953, Dongshigu Township was established; in 2010, it was changed from Dongshigu Township to Dongshigu Town. As of June 2020, Dongshigu Township has 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is based in Dongshigu Village. As of the end of 2019, Dongshigu Township has 24 industrial enterprises, of which 2 are above scale, and 38 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
