Sangzi Town, belonging to Jizhou District, Tianjin, is located in the southwest of Jizhou District and on the east bank of the Suhe River, neighboring Dong'erying Town, Youguzhuang Town, and Houjiaying Town to the east, Sanhe City, Hebei Province, across the Suhe River to the south and west, and bordering with Bailjian Town and Bangjun Town to the north, with a total area of 68 sq km, 30 km away from the downtown area of Jizhou. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Sangzi Township was 41,848.
In 1953, Sangzi Township was established; in 2001, Sangzi Township merged with Liujianting Township to form Sangzi Town. As of June 2020, 44 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Mangzi Township, and the township's people's government is located in Mangzi Village East.
As of the end of 2019, there are 21 industrial enterprises in Mangzi Township, of which 3 are above scale, and there are 56 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
