Kailu town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tongliao City, Kailu County, is located in central Kailu County, the north bank of the West Liaohe River, east and Dongfeng town adjacent to the southeast and Jirigarang spit town border, south and Naiman Banner, Donglai town across the West Liaohe River, the west and the town of Danyushu adjoining the north-west and the town of Yiho tala connected to the north with the town of Jianhua, the north-east and the town of Xiaojieji border. In 1958, it belonged to Hongqi No.1 People's Commune.In 1959, it belonged to Mingren Commune.In 1960, it was set aside from Mingren Commune as Kailu County Town.In 1984, the commune was abolished.In 1985, it was named Kailu Town. As of June 2020, Kailu Town is under the jurisdiction of 10 communities, 50 administrative villages, and 3 living areas.
