Maixin Town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tongliao City, Kailu County, is located in the western part of Kailu County, east of the town of Heilongba adjacent to the south across the Xilamulun River, the Xiliao River and Wengniuote Banner, Naiman Banner, and north of the Xinkai River and the border with the Arukorqin Banner. The area covers 221.7 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, the household population was 32,040. In 1958, Maixin Commune was established.In 1984, Maixin Town was set up.In 2001, Taihekou Township was merged into Maixin Town. As of June 2020, Maixin Township has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and another 2 village-level units.
