Xiaochengzi Town, belonging to Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northwestern part of Ningcheng County, neighboring Shiizi Town to the east, Dachengzi Town to the southwest, and bordering with Karachiqin Banner to the north, and is 55 km away from the government of Ningcheng County, with an area of 318 square kilometers in the administrative area. As of the end of 2019, the total population of Xiaochengzi Town was 30,034. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), an extra horse harnessed by the side of a team was set up in the area of Xiaochengzi Town; in 1986, Xiaochengzi Township was changed to Xiaochengzi Town. As of October 2021, Xiaochengzi Town has 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction; the town's people's government is located in Ningzhong Village. In 2019, Xiaochengzi Town had 7 industrial enterprises and 54 general stores or supermarkets with business areas of more than 50 square meters.
