Tianyi Town, belonging to Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the eastern edge of Ningcheng County, east of Jianping County, Liaoning Province, three Mongolian townships adjacent to the busy farming townships in the south, west of Daming Township connected to the north of the town of Xiizi adjacent to the county people's government, the total area of the region of 188 square kilometers.
In August, 1945, after the liberation of Tianyi, the Tianyi District Office was established; in September, 2006, Chengguan Township, Daming Township, Busy Farming Township, and Yulinzi Township each set aside a part of the area and merged into Tianyi Township. As of the end of 2018, Tianyi Township had a household population of 109,773.In 2019, Tianyi Township had 20 communities and 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the People's Government based in Changqing Community.
In 2018, Tianyi Town had 50 industrial enterprises, of which 12 were above scale, and 135 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
