Taixing City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, administered by Taizhou City, is a pilot city under direct provincial administration (enjoying the same approval authority as a prefecture-level city), located in the central part of Jiangsu Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River (belonging to the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River delta), with a northern subtropical maritime monsoon climate and a total area of 1,172.27 square kilometers.
