Guxi Town, belonging to Taixing City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the northeastern part of Taixing City, bordering with Mojing Town, Rugao City, Nantong City, in the east, Boundary Town in the south, Yuanzhu Town in the west, and Jiangyan Town, Jiangyan District, and Yazhou Town, Hai'an County, Nantong City, in the north, with an area of 76.06 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Guxi Town had a household population of 59,862. The market town was founded in the Northern Song Dynasty and was originally named Qiankun Town; in 1988, the township was withdrawn and Guxi Town was set up; in 2010, Hengzhi Town was incorporated. As of June 2020, Guxi Town has 2 communities and 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Guxi Community. In 2019, there are 392 industrial enterprises in Guxi Township, of which 30 are above scale, and there are 65 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
