Tangping Town, belonging to Yangdong District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwestern part of Yangdong District, neighboring Dabachi Town in the east, Hongfeng Town in the south, Shuangjie Town in Jiangcheng District in the west, and bordering with Gangmei Town in Yangchun City in the north, with an area of 203.59 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Tangping Town has a registered population of 48,799.
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the former Yangjiang County Guishan Township Nanhe Du Nanhe I, II and III map, and Duozhou Du Duozhou I and II map.In February 1987, it was reorganized into Tangping Town.In October 2003, Tangping Town was divided into seven villagers' committees of Pearl, Tangjiao, Jiaoyue, Hongfeng, Sendi, Tangwei and Chaoguan under the jurisdiction of Hongfeng Town, and the former villagers' committees of Ninguang and Shuangmajing of Maashan Township were assigned to the jurisdiction of Tangping Town. As of October 2021, Tangping Town has 2 communities and 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at No. 58, Kirin Road, Tangping Wei.
In 2019, Tangping Town has 11 industrial enterprises and 18 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
