In Yangjiang, life is always carefree.
This riverside city in western Guangdong is one of the “2022 Most Happiest Cities in China” and has been recognized as a National Model Tourist City.
Recently, GuChuan United officially signed an agreement with Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, to establish a partnership for investment promotion.
Leveraging 14 years of hands-on investment promotion experience and a strategic presence across 19 cities nationwide, GuChuan United will help entrepreneurs and investors discover the many facets of this city.
01 Joining Forces, Renewing Our Partnership
This is not the first time Guchuan United has partnered with Yangjiang City.
On December 13, 2022, Guchuan United assisted Yangjiang in hosting an industrial investment promotion conference in Foshan, where 32 projects were signed on-site, with a total investment of 21.46 billion yuan.
Guchuan United’s efficient organization and targeted invitations fostered a positive atmosphere for in-depth engagement between government and business.
Targeted invitations ensured that every company in attendance had genuine investment intentions. Consequently, within this positive atmosphere, everyone was willing to go the extra mile and ask further questions.
The professionalism and efficiency of the GuChuan Alliance service team were thus “seen and remembered.”
Trust is always built step by step.
The successful hosting of this investment promotion conference has set a positive tone for further cooperation between both parties.
Consequently, the investment promotion partnership between Yangjiang and GuChuan United came about naturally.
Yangjiang is situated at the intersection of national strategies such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Beibu Gulf Urban Cluster, and the Hainan Free Trade Port, making it the first city in the Greater Bay Area’s westward expansion.
Today, Yangjiang is in a critical period of strategic opportunity with great potential, and it is particularly important to rally the strength of multiple stakeholders.
Moving forward, GuChuan United will work alongside Yangjiang to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, foster the incubation of emerging industries, deepen investment promotion along industrial chains, and establish platforms for corporate exchange. Together, we will help Yangjiang become a key strategic hub in the coastal economic belt, enhance its industrial and innovative competitiveness, and jointly create a new landscape of high-quality development for Yangjiang in the context of China’s modernization.
02 Today’s Yangjiang Shines in the Bay Area
The 133rd Canton Fair opened on April 15.
Guichuan United’s Guangzhou office is conveniently located near the Canton Fair exhibition grounds. As international buyers flocked to the event, we witnessed Yangjiang’s “moment of brilliance” right here.
Kawaguchi & Partners Guangzhou
A total of 170 enterprises from Yangjiang made their debut at the Canton Fair, an increase of over 50% compared to the previous session, setting a new record for the city.
In terms of the scale of exhibits, about half were from kitchenware and tableware companies. In recent years, with the establishment of brands such as Kraft Heinz and Golden Dragon Fish, “Made in Yangjiang” products are finding their way into kitchens across more countries.
However, hardware, cutlery, and food seasonings are merely Yangjiang’s traditional strengths.
Today, relying on four provincial-level industrial transfer parks and one eco-industrial park, Yangjiang has established a modern industrial system dominated by sectors such as offshore wind power and alloy materials.
With its superior port facilities, significant demographic dividend, processing and export conditions that rival those of Southeast Asia, and efficient project services, Yangjiang is an ideal city for manufacturing enterprises to invest and establish their businesses.
As a long-standing partner of Yangjiang, GuChuan United sincerely invites entrepreneurs and investors to take an interest in Yangjiang, invest in Yangjiang, seize the opportunities of our time, and secure a strategic foothold early.
03 The Greater Bay Area Expands Westward: A Promising Future
In April of this year, during his inspection tour of Guangdong, General Secretary Xi Jinping once again emphasized the importance of the real economy and independent innovation.
For enterprises to grow, industries to upgrade, and the economy to achieve high-quality development, we must rely on independent innovation.
However, it is not easy to persuade enterprises to invest significant time and money in innovation for the sake of a remote possibility.
In recent years, Yangjiang has made every effort to ease regulatory burdens on enterprises. By advancing administrative streamlining and decentralization, promoting fair regulation, optimizing government services, deepening legal services, and protecting intellectual property rights, the city has further stimulated the innovative vitality of market entities.
In 2022, Yangjiang City signed a total of 173 projects with a combined investment of 122.647 billion yuan. The steady influx of new projects and major enterprises is the best testament to the city’s business environment.
However, innovation is not the exclusive domain of large enterprises.
Although small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may be “small in stature,” they possess “great potential” and hold core competitive advantages in their respective niche sectors.
By holding symposiums for SMEs, Yangjiang has stayed abreast of their production and operational conditions, introduced concrete measures, optimized the business environment, and assisted SMEs in resolving issues related to systems, talent, and funding, leading to the vigorous development of market entities.
By the end of 2022, the total number of market entities in Yangjiang had surged from 80,000 at the end of 2012 to over 200,000, with an average annual growth rate of 14%, ranking among the highest in the province.
Wite Power Co., Ltd., which is making its debut at this Canton Fair, was founded in 1988 and has been operating in Yangjiang for 35 years.
Starting as a small enterprise producing simple grinding machinery, Weite Power has, through continuous iteration and upgrades over the years, developed precision CNC grinding machines and automatic loading and unloading systems, evolving into a leading enterprise in the industry.
Today, the gap between Yangjiang and first-tier cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen is steadily narrowing, and Yangjiang has become a “new focal point” for industrial relocation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
With the issuance of the "Implementation Rules for the Yangjiang Key Industry Investment Promotion Incentive Measures," an atmosphere of optimism and investment in Yangjiang is taking shape.
In the future, GuChuan United will swiftly launch investment promotion efforts centered on Yangjiang’s leading industries, accelerate the implementation of high-quality projects, and help this “Pearl of the Bay Area” shine even brighter.
