Heshan Town, belonging to Yangdong District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeastern part of Yangdong District; the middle and upper reaches of the Nalong River, neighboring Nalong Town and Xinzhou Town to the east, Dagou Town and Bei惯 Town to the south, connecting Dabachi Town to the west, and relying on Nalong Town to the north, with an area of 90.06 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Heshan Township has a household population of 42,981.
Heshan Town was founded during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).In February 1987, the district was reorganized as Heshan Town.From January 1988 to June 1991, Heshan Town was under the jurisdiction of Yangdong District in Yangjiang City, and in July 1991, it was under the jurisdiction of Yangdong County. As of October 2021, Heshan Town has 1 community and 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at No. 37, Heguang Road.
