The Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone covers a land area of 460.41 square kilometers, has a coastline of 69.8 kilometers, and encompasses a maritime area of 1,802.03 square kilometers.It comprises the four towns of Ebu, Xiaomo, Chishi, and Jimen, formerly part of Haifeng County in Shanwei City, and consists of 34 administrative villages, 5 communities, and 187 natural villages. The registered population is 81,500, while the actual managed population is 136,300.It is located 60 kilometers from Pingshan District, Shenzhen, and 170 kilometers from downtown Guangzhou. It borders Huidong County, Huizhou City, to the west and north; connects with Haifeng County, Shanwei City, to the east; and faces Honghai Bay to the south, serving as a strategic hub for the eastward expansion of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Currently, the Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone is thoroughly implementing the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, as well as the work arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee. Focusing on the primary task of high-quality development and the strategic mission of building a new development paradigm, the Zone is actively integrating into the broader development framework of the “Two Zones,” upholding manufacturing as the cornerstone and promoting urban development through industry, to accelerate its development as a key hub for the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s advanced manufacturing sector.It is striving to become a hub for major industrial projects, a destination for newly introduced major projects, and an incubator and driver of high-quality regional development.
