Beihu Town, belonging to Yangdong District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the west-central part of Yangdong District, in the middle and lower reaches of the Nalong River, close to Heshan Town in the east, YaShao Town and Dagou Town in the south, bordering with Dongcheng Town, Tangping Town and Ganglei Town of Jiangcheng District in the west, and connecting with Dabachi Town in the north, with an administrative area of 113.22 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Beihu Town had a household population of 47,587.
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Pingdi Du Pingdi Yitu and Beihu Du Beihu Yitu in Pingle Township, Yangjiang County.In February 1987, the district was reorganized into Beihu Township.From January 1988 to June 1991, Beihu Township was under the jurisdiction of Yangdong District.From July 1991, it was under the jurisdiction of Yangdong County. As of October 2021, Beipu Town has 2 communities and 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Beipu Xinxu.
In 2019, Beipu Town has 470 industrial enterprises, including 45 above scale, and 43 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
