Weidi Town, belonging to Luoding City, Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, is located in the central east of Luoding City, located in the eastern part of Luoding Pandi, the north of appletang town, Huashi Town, east, west and south of the town with Jinji Town, Sulong Street, Luoping Town, 䓣 Tang Town as neighbors, with a total area of 66.1 square kilometers, about 12 kilometers from the urban area of Luoding, and 72 kilometers away from the city of Yunfu. It has 1 community and 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town government is located in Weidiwei.The total household population at the end of 2019 was 47,826. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Weidi Town was 31,819 people.
Weidi Town was known as Lingnan Fort in the Qing Dynasty, and later as Twelve Fort. During the Republic of China period, it was the sixth district of Luoding County, and in 1958, Weidi People's Commune was set up; in 1983, it was set up as a district, and in 1986, it was set up as Weidi Town. National Highway G324, Yun Cen Expressway, Luoyang Expressway through the town, Luoyang Expressway set up around the bottom of the exit. Tourism resources include the ancient village of Chengwei and the ancient village of Duoyong.
