Luoping Town is located in the central part of Luoding City, Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, with a longitude of 111°33′ East and a latitude of 22°36′ North, bordering with Sulong Street, Weidi Town and Shengjiang Town in the north, and neighboring with Taiping Town, Lianzhou Town, Luogian Town and Funabu Town in the east, west and south.The total number of householders at the end of 2019 was 93,253. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Luoping Township was 60,568 people.
Located in the southern part of Luoding Basin, Luoping Town has a flat terrain, mostly plains and low hills, with soft and fertile soil, an average annual temperature of 22℃, an average annual precipitation of 1,450 millimeters, and a frost-free period of 345 days, which makes it possible to cultivate the area all year round. There are Takijiang River in the west, Shalang River in the south and raised river in the east. The city-owned water conservancy project of Yintai and Yinsha crosses the town, and the Changgangpo Ferry Trough, which is famous in and out of Guangdong Province, is located in the town. The main cash crops in Luoping Township include silkworms, peanuts, tea, vegetables, sweet bamboo shoots and fruits. Mineral resources include kaolin. Tourist attractions include Changgangpo Ferry Tank, Runway Woodcutting Song, Longtou Temple, Huimin Temple and Zhang's Xianliang Academy.
