Taoranting Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Xicheng District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°22′05″~116°22′54″E and latitude 39°52′10″~39°53′17″N. It is located in the southeastern part of Xicheng District, neighboring Taiping Street and Hufang Road to the east and Tianqiao Street to the south. Located in the southeastern part of Xicheng District, it is neighboring with Tianqiao Street to Taiping Street and Hufang Road in the east, with Xiluoyuan Street in Fengtai District across the river to the moat in the south, neighboring with Niujie and Baishifang Street to Caishikou Street in the west, and with Tsubaki Street to Mulema City Street in the north. The maximum distance between east and west of the district is 1.1 kilometers, and the maximum distance between north and south is 2.1 kilometers, with a total area of 2.1 square kilometers (of which Taoranting Park covers 0.6 square kilometers).
During the Jin Dynasty, the Taoranting area belonged to Tiezhongfang and Nanchuntaifang. During the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to the southern suburbs of the metropolis. During the Ming Dynasty, the eastern part belonged to Zhengnanfang of the outer city and the western part belonged to Xuannanfang. During the Qing Dynasty, the outer city.
