Desheng Street is a street under the jurisdiction of Xicheng District, Beijing, located in the northern part of Xicheng District, between longitude 116°21'50"~116°23'17 "E and latitude 39°56'50"~39°58'18 "N. It is neighboring Hepingli Street of Dongcheng District by the boundary of the old Drumtower Outer Street, neighboring Xinjiekou Street by the east of the street, and is across the river from the East and West streets of Deshengmen, bordering Beitaipingzhuang Street of Haidian District by the west of the street, and neighboring Anzhen Street of Chaoyang District by Yumin Road to the north. North Taipingzhuang Street, north to Yumin Road and the Chaoyang District Anzhen Street adjacent. The maximum distance between the east and west of the district is 2.1 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the north and south is 2.7 kilometers, with a total area of 4.1 square kilometers.
During the Qing Dynasty, Desheng District belonged to the Zhenghuang Banner, and also belonged to Lingzhongfang, which was subordinate to Beicheng. During the Republic of China period, it belonged to the North Suburb; after 1949, it belonged to the Sixteenth District (former Suburb 4); in 1952, it belonged to the West Fourth District; in 1958, it belonged to the Xicheng District, with the title of Deshengmenwai Street, which was later simplified to Dewai Street; in September 2004, the name was changed to Desheng Street.
As of June 2020, there are 20 neighborhoods under the jurisdiction of Desheng Street.In 2011, the total population of Desheng Street was 119,000 people, the total industrial output value was 4.26 billion yuan, and the total financial income was 7.54 billion yuan.
