Changxindian Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Fengtai District, Beijing, is located in the southwest of Fengtai District, on the west bank of the Yongding River, between longitude 116°06′17″~116°13′19″E and latitude 39°47′13″~39°53′17″N. It is adjacent to Wanpingcheng Street (area) in the east, bordering Changyang Town in Fangshan District in the south, and Yungang Street in the west. It is adjacent to Wanpingcheng Street (area) in the east, Changyang Town in Fangshan District in the south, Yungang Street in the west, Jingtai Temple in Mentougou District in the northwest across the mountain, and Lianshi Road in Shijingshan District in the north. The maximum distance between east and west of the jurisdiction is 7 kilometers, and the maximum distance between north and south is 15 kilometers, with a total area of 46.6 square kilometers.
In the early years of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), Changxindian District was part of Wanping County, Jingzhaoyin. In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), Beijing was changed to the special city of Beiping, and Wanping County was changed to Hebei Province, and Changsindian District was the second district of Wanping County, one of the eight towns in Wanping. In 1929, the county office was moved to Lugouqiao Gongji City, Wanping County, and after the July 7 Incident in 1937, the county office was moved to Laomiao in Changxindian District. In December 1948, Changxindian District was changed to the 18th District of Beiping City. In January 1949, Changxindian Town Office was set up. 1950, it was merged with Fengtai District to form the 12th District, later renamed Fengtai District, and Changxindian set up a town government. 1954, it was changed to Changxindian Town Office. 1974, April 1974, Zhujiagong Street was transferred to the neighborhoods of Zhujiagong 1~5 li and Zhangjiagong, etc. 1990, November 1990, the town was changed to a street.
In 2011, the total population of Changxindian Street was 202,632. In 2011, the total financial revenue of Changxindian Street was 83 million yuan. Among them, the local financial revenue was 56 million yuan, an increase of 26.7% over the previous year. As of June 2020, Changxindian Street has 29 communities under its jurisdiction.
