Beishitou Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between longitude 116°28′34″~116°35′56″ East and latitude 40°13′13″~40°16′37″ North. Located in the northwestern part of Shunyi District, at the foot of Yanshan Mountain, it is adjacent to Miaocheng Town in Huairou District in the east, Zhaoquanying Town in the south, Xingshou Town in Changping District in the west, and Qiaozi Town in Huairou District in the north. The town area is 32.5 square kilometers. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Beishitou area belonged to Shunyi County Zhengxi Road and Northwest Road. During the Republic of China period, it belonged to the sixth district of Shunyi County, and in April 1949, it belonged to the eleventh district of Shunyi County, and in 1950, it belonged to the second district of Shunyi County, and in August 1956, it belonged to the East Shihtou Township, and in the beginning of 1958, it was merged into Banqiao Township, and in September, it was the management area under Niulanshan People's Commune, and in 1961, it belonged to Banqiao Communal Commune, and in August 1975, it set up the Beishihtou People's Commune, and in August 1983, it was changed from a communal to a rural township. In May 1994, the township was changed to a township.In March 1998, Shunyi County was changed to a district, and Beishitou Township was attached to Shunyi District and continues to this day. As of the end of 2018, Beishi Trough Township had a household population of 14,867. As of October 2019, Beishitou Town has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town government is located at No. 5, Prefoundation Street, Beishitou Town. In 2011, the industrial added value of Beishi Trough Town was 0.6 billion yuan, an increase of 15% over the previous year, accounting for 50% of the GDP.
