Caozili Town, belonging to Wuqing District of Tianjin, is located in the northeast of Wuqing urban area, bordering with Dahuangbao Township and Shangmatai Township in the east, neighboring Meifang Township in the south, adjoining Xuguantun Street in the west, and bordering with Daliqi Township in the north, with the township's people's government 6 km away from Yangcun, 25 km away from the downtown of Tianjin, and 70 km away from the downtown of Beijing, and with a total area of 56.08 square kilometers, and a household population of 27817 people.
In 1939, the western and southwestern part of Caozili Township belonged to Wuqing Sixth District, the southeastern part belonged to the Fifth District, and the northeastern part belonged to the Fourth District.In 1983, it was reorganized as Caozili Township to the present. As of June 2020, Caozili Township has 33 administrative villages under its jurisdiction; the township people's government is located in Qianjie Village.
