Pingdingshan Township, belonging to Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County of Fushun City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, bordering with Huanren Manchu Autonomous County of Benxi City in the east, Dasiping Township in the south, Reiziyu Township in the west and Yushu Township in the north. The area of the jurisdiction is 349.53 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, Pindingshan Town had a household population of 18,739. In 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of Pingdingshan Commune was established.In 1981, the Management Committee of Pingdingshan Commune was established.In October 1983, Pingdingshan Township was established.In August 1984, the name was changed to Pingdingshan Manchu Township.In November 1984, the name was changed to Pingdingshan Township. As of June 2020, Pingdingshan Township has 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located at No. 75 Zhongxing Road, Pingdingshan Village. In 2018, Pingdingshan Township had 4 industrial enterprises and 51 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
