Xiaohu Town, belonging to Jianyang District, Nanping City, Fujian Province, is located in the southeastern part of Jianyang District, on the banks of Nanpu Creek, adjacent to Longcun Township and Zhangdun Township of Jianou in the east, bordering with Xiaosong Township and Xudun Township of Jianou in the south, neighboring Tongyou Street in the west, and connecting with Shuiji Township in the north, with an area of 240.38 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Xiaohu Town was 19,014. During the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Wo Yi Li of Ou Ning County.In July 1993, Xiaohu Township was abolished and Xiaohu Town was established.
