Xiangying Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yanqing District, Beijing, is located in the northeastern part of Yanqing District, between longitude 116°05′46″~116°13′44″E and latitude 40°32′29″~40°44′25″N. It is adjacent to Liubinbao Township in the east and Yongning Township in the south. It is adjacent to Liubinbao Township in the east, Yongning Township in the south, Old County Township in the west, Houcheng Township in Chicheng County, Hebei Province in the north, and Qianjiadian Township in the northeast. The township area is 120.31 square kilometers.
In 1958, the Xiangying area was set up as the Xiangying Brigade of Dongfeng (Yongning) Commune.In 1961, the Xiangying Commune was set up.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In October 1997, Baihebao Township was incorporated. As of the end of 2018, Xiangying Township had a household population of 8,768. As of June 2020, Xiangying Township has 1 community and 20 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government located in Xiangying Village.
In 2011, Xiangying Township had a total of 17,600 acres of arable land, with 2 acres per capita. The gross agricultural product amounted to 96.727 million yuan, an increase of 3.2% over the previous year. Accumulated afforestation of 155,000 mu, including 28,606 mu of protective forests and 7,110 mu of economic forests, with a forest coverage rate of 48%.
