Old County Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yanqing District, Beijing, is located in the central part of Yanqing District, between longitude 115°56′13″~116°07′19″E and latitude 40°30′07″~40°37′45″N. It is bordered by Xiangying Township in the east and Shenjiaying Township in the south, neighboring Zhangshanying Township in the west and Chicheng County in Hebei Province in the north. It borders Xiangying Township in the east, Shenjiaying Township in the south, Zhangshanying Township in the west, and Chicheng County in Hebei Province in the north. The town area is 107.58 square kilometers.
During the Western Han Dynasty, the old county area was set up in Yiyi County, belonging to Shanggu County, and the county seat is now Gucheng Village. Cao Wei in the Third Kingdom set up Shanggu County, governed Juyong County, and moved Juyong County to the present old county. After the middle of the Tang dynasty belongs to the Gui state. 10th century, set up Jinshan county, belongs to the rule of Ru state. Yuan yanyou three years (1316), jinshan county was promoted to longqingzhou. In the twelfth year of Ming Yongle (1414), Emperor Chengzu built Longqing Prefecture and Yongning County.In 1958, it was part of Yongning Commune.In 1961, it was reorganized as Old County Commune.In 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In 1995, the township was changed to a town. As of the end of 2018, Old County Town had a household population of 22,327. As of June 2020, Old County Township has 1 community and 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government residing in Old County Village.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Old County Town reached 64.32 million yuan, an increase of 40% over the previous year. Total fiscal revenue of 931,000 yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year. From the point of view of each major tax, the completion of sales tax of 730,000 yuan, value-added tax of 104,000 yuan, enterprise income tax of 97,000 yuan.
