Dongshaoqu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Miyun District, Beijing, is located in the south of Miyun District, between longitude 116°50'53"~117°00'35 "E and latitude 40°13'09"~40°20'47 "N. It is connected with Dahuashan Town and Liujiadian Town of Pinggu District in the east and Longwantun Town of Shunyi District in the southwest, adjacent to Henanzhai Town in the northwest and Jugezhuang Town in the north. It is connected to Dahuashan Town and Liujiadian Town in Pinggu District in the east, Longwantun Town in Shunyi District in the southwest, Henanzhai Town in the northwest, and Jugezhuang Town in the north. The town area is 108.85 square kilometers.
During the Republic of China (R.O.C.) period, Dongshaoqu area belonged to the fourth township of Huairou County. In 1947, it belonged to the eighth district of Shunyi County, and in June 1950, it belonged to the new ninth district of Miyun County, and in August 1950, it belonged to the third district of Miyun County, and in 1953, the district was established under the townships, and there were 6 townships in the first place, namely, Shie, Xishaoqiu, Gaogezhuang, Donghuluyu, Yinyeling, and Laosimiao, and in 1956, it was merged into 2 townships of Xishaoqiu, Shie, and in February 1958, it was merged into the township of Dongshaoku, and in September, the township of Dongshaoku was established into a People's Commune, which belonged to the Satellite People's Committee. In September, a people's commune was established, belonging to the Satellite People's Commune (later renamed Tangzi Commune).In 1961, Dongshaodu Commune was established.In April 1983, the commune's residence was moved to Taibaozhuang.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In 2001, the township was changed to a town. As of the end of 2018, Dongshaoqu Township had a household population of 12,483. As of June 2020, Dongshaoqu Township has 2 communities and 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township government residing in Dongshaoqu Village.
In 2011, Dongshaodu Town has a total of 23,676 acres of arable land, per capita 1.6 acres. The total financial income is 31.678 million yuan.
