Miaofengshan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Mentougou District, Beijing, is located between longitude 115°55′51″~116°04′18″ East and latitude 39°50′59″~40°05′02″ North. Located in the northwestern part of Mentougou District, it is adjacent to Junzhuang Town in the east, bordering on Longquan Town in the southeast, connected to Longquan Town in the south, neighboring on Wangping Town in the southwest, adjoining on Yanyi Town in the northwest, neighboring on Changping District in the north and bordering on Haidian District in the northeast. The town area is 112.61 square kilometers. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Miaofengshan area belonged to Jixian County of Yan State and Jixian County of Guangyang County successively. During the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Yuhe Township of Wanping County. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Wanping County. At the beginning of New China, it belonged to Wanping County's five districts.In April 1950, it belonged to Wanping County's three districts and was stationed in Longjiaizhuang Village.In September 1952, it belonged to the Datai Subdistrict of Beijing West Mining District.In 1958, it belonged to the Datai People's Commune.In September 1982, the commune was converted into a township, and Miaofengshan Township was established.In August 2000, the two townships of Miaofengshan and Shangwidian merged to form the town of Miaofengshan. As of late 2018, Miaofengshan Township had a household population of 10,190. As of October 2019, Miaofengshan Township has 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is located in the 124th courtyard of Longjiazhuang Village Main Street Lin. In 2011, the total industrial output value of Miaofengshan Town reached 280 million yuan, with 8 industrial enterprises above scale and 6.94 million employees, realizing an industrial added value of 0.02 billion yuan.
