North District is the northernmost of the 18 districts in Hong Kong, China. It is bounded on the north by Shenzhen River, Shatoujiao River and Zhongying Street in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Three of the border crossings between Hong Kong and mainland China (Man Kam To, Lo Wu and Sha Tau Kok) are located in the North District; it is connected to Yuen Long in the west and Tai Po in the south; and it can be roughly divided into four parts, namely Sheung Shui, Fanling, Sha Tau Kok and Ta Kwu Ling (Sheung Fan, Sha Tau Kok). The North District also includes the outlying islands of Kat O and Ap Chau in Tai Peng Wan.
