Yilan County, is part of Taiwan Province of the People's Republic of China. Yilan County is located in the northeastern part of Taiwan Province. It is bounded by Hualien and Taichung counties to the south, the Pacific Ocean to the east, and Taoyuan and Hsinchu counties to the west. The Lanyang River runs east and west, dividing the county into north and south. It covers an area of 2,143.6251 square kilometers, with the center of the county located at longitude 121°46'24" East and latitude 24°44'4" North. The current governor is Lin Zimiao.
