Penghu County, belonging to Taiwan Province of the People's Republic of China, is bounded by Chamuyu Island in the extreme east, Hualyu Island in the extreme west, Chimei Island in the extreme south, and Meidouyu Island in the extreme north; it is connected in a ring shape with Baishasha and Xiyu Islands, and in the middle of the three islands is Penghu Bay. The area is 126.8641 square kilometers. The center of the county is located at longitude 119°34'37" E, latitude 23°34'21" N. In 2013, the total population of Penghu County is 110,000 people. Penghu County has a subtropical monsoon climate with mild and rainy weather, with rainfall decreasing from the coast to the mountains, with strong winds and little rain.
