Shiban Township, belonging to Youxian District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Mianyang City, close to the Sichuan-Shaanxi Highway 108 national highway line. East of Liujia Town, south of Guantai Township, west of Shen resistance town, north of Wei Township neighbors. The total area of the jurisdiction is 55.2 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Shiban Town has a household population of 19,439.
In the second year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1822), it was called Hongwadian.In 1992, it merged with Guantai Township to form Shiban Township. As of October 2019, Shiban Township has 1 community and 15 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located at No. 43 Shuangxing Street, Shibanhe.On December 26, 2019, Shiban Township, Guantai Township, and Liujia Township were abolished and Xinyi Township was set up, with the administrative areas belonging to the former Shiban Township, the former Guantai Township, and the former Liujia Township being the administrative areas of Xinyi Township.
