Daojian Township (revoked), a township under the jurisdiction of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwestern part of Dachuan District, west of Tieshan Mountain, geographically situated between longitude 107°15′20″ and 107°19′25″ East, and between latitude 31°22′50″ and 31°26′ North. It is adjacent to Jiangling Town in the east, Hujian Township in the south, Hanshui Township in Pingchang County, Bazhong City in the west, and Jiangling Town in the north. The total area of the jurisdiction is 25.79 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the total household population of Daojian Township was 8,353.
In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), Daogang Township was established. In 1942, Daojang Township was merged into Hujang Township. in March 1952, Daojang Township was reset. in September 1958, the township was changed to a commune. in December 1983, the commune was changed to a township. As of October 2019, Daojang Township has 2 communities and 6 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township people's government stationed at No. 8 Center Street.On January 14, 2020, the former Daojang Township was abolished, and the administrative area belonging to the former Daojang Township was transferred to the jurisdiction of Shiqiao Township.
In 2011, the gross agricultural output value of Daogang Township was 74.52 million yuan, and the added value of agriculture accounted for 45.7% of the gross domestic product. The per capita net income of farmers was 4,870 yuan. The total financial income was 3.93 million yuan.In 2015, the gross product of Daogang Township was 96 million yuan, the GDP per capita was 12850 yuan, and the net income per capita of farmers was 8700 yuan.
