Jin Ya Town, Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, under the jurisdiction of the town, is located in the southwestern part of Dachuan District, the east bank of the State River, east of Slate Street, Baichie Town, south and west of Baichie Town, north of the border with the River City Town. The total area of jurisdiction is 64.2 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the total household population of Jin Ya totaled 25,056. In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), Jin Ya Town, Dachuan District was established. In the twenty-ninth year of the Republic of China (1940), the township was changed to a township.In September 1958, the township was changed to a commune.In April 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In March 2002, the township was changed to a town.On December 20, 2019, the township of Shenjia was abolished, and the administrative area belonging to it was transferred to the jurisdiction of Jinya Town. As of June 2020, Jin Ya Township has 3 communities and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is stationed at 89 Cuihua Road.
