Anren Township, Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, under the jurisdiction of the township, located in the southeastern part of Dachuan District, east of Kailiang County, Pu'an Township as a neighbor, south, west and north of the border with Maliu Township. The total area of the jurisdiction is 29.25 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Anren Township has a total household population of 13,538.
In the twenty-seventh year of the Qing Daoguang (1899), the field was built. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), Xin'anzhen Township was set up. Republic of China twenty-two years (1933), set Anren Township Soviet regime. Republic of China thirty years (1941), renamed Tanan Township. In September 1958, the township was changed to a commune, and in December 1983, the commune was changed to a township. As of June 2020, Anren Township has 1 community and 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the People's Government of the township stationed at 139 Longtouqiao Street. In Anren Township, there are national agricultural products with geographical indications: Dazhou Crisp Plum and Dachuan Anren Pomelo, and Chinese national products with geographical indications: Daxian Ramie and Daxian Ume. The local characteristic folk art of Anren Township includes the provincial intangible cultural heritage list of Tan's Zisun Dragon and the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project list of Anren Bench Dragon.In August 2018, Anren Township was named by the Department of Culture of Sichuan Province as the "Hometown of Folk Culture and Art of Sichuan Province" for the year 2018-2020 --Hometown of Bench Dragon.
