Yanhe Township (revoked), township under the jurisdiction of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the western part of Dachuan District, bordering with Shiti Township in the east, Dayi Township in Quxian County in the south, and Yihe Township in Quxian County in the west. The jurisdiction has a maximum distance of 5.8 kilometers from east to west and 8.1 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of 32.87 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the total household population of Yanhe Township was 11,289.
In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), Xishuanghe Township was set up, belonging to the fifth district of Dachuan District. In the twenty-ninth year of the Republic of China (1940), it was renamed Shuanghe Township.In September 1958, the township was changed to a commune.In December 1981, it was renamed Yanhe Commune.In December 1983, the commune was changed to a township. As of October 2019, Yanhe Township has 2 communities and 9 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township people's government stationed at No. 39 Xinglong Street.On January 14, 2020, the former Yanhe Township was abolished, and the administrative area belonging to the former Yanhe Township was assigned to the jurisdiction of Shiqiao Township.
