Dashu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Dachuan District, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southeastern part of Dachuan District, neighboring Wanjia Town in the east, bordering Xinsheng Town of Liangping County, Chongqing Municipality, in the south, connected with Nanyue Town in the west, and bordering with Pingtan Town and Jingshi Town in the north. The total area of the jurisdiction is 106.88 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the former Dashu Town had a total household population of 45,307.
In the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935), Dashu Town, Dachuan District was set up. In the twenty-ninth year of the Republic of China (1940), the township was changed to a township.In September 1958, the township was changed to a commune.In April 1983, the commune was changed to a township.In July 1991, the township was changed to a town.On December 20, 2019, Huangting Township was abolished, and the administrative area it belonged to was transferred to the jurisdiction of Dashu Town. As of June 2020, Dashu Township has 3 communities and 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the township's people's government stationed at No. 1, Transportation Road.
