Xinkaidi Township, belonging to Keshketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Keshketeng Banner within the Huidehundi River, bordering Tuchengzi Township to the east, neighboring Wengniuote Banner's Yihongong Township and Maoshan Dongsheng Township to the south and southeast, connecting with Zhirui Township to the west, and adjoining with Tuchengzi Township to the north. The administrative area of Xinkaidi Township covers 340 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Xinkaidi Township had a household population of 15,822.
In January of the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), it belonged to Tuchengzi district (four districts).In March 1958, it belonged to Tuchengzi commune.In May 1963, a part of the production team was set aside from Tuchengzi commune to establish Xinkaidi commune.In August 1984, it was changed to a township.In June 2020, Xinkaidi township had jurisdiction over 1 community and 7 administrative villages. The people's government of the township is located in Daijiawopu, Xindao Liang Village.
