Zhirui Town, belonging to Keshketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southern part of Keshketeng Banner, bordering Tuchengzi Township and Xinkaidi Township in the east and southeast, connected to Wengniuote Banner in the south, neighboring Weichang Manchu Mongolian Autonomous County of Chengde City, Hebei Province in the southwest, adjoining Hongshansi Township and Birchmudgou Forestry Farm in the west and northwest, and neighboring Jingtang Township and Wanheyong Township in the north and northeast. The administrative area of Zhirui Town is 2313 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, the household population of Zhirui Town was 34,990. In January 1946, it belonged to maple tree district (five districts).In October 1958, maple tree district was withdrawn to establish Zhirui commune.In January 1984, it was changed to Zhirui township.In October 2001, Zhirui township was merged with Changyi township to form Li Zhirui township.In November 2006, Guangxingyuan and Nandian townships were merged into it.In June 2020, Zhirui township had 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The town people's government is located in Xinghua Village.
