Lindong Township, subordinate to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Bahrain Left Banner, is located in the central part of Bahrain Left Banner, neighboring with the pioneer township of Arukolqin Banner in the east, bordering with Longchang Township in the southeast, connecting with Longchang Township and Chaganhaddar Sumu in the south, bordering with Harahaddar Township in the west and adjoining with Thirteen Aoobo Township in the north. Lindong Township administrative area of 834.5 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Lindong Township had a household population of 67,334.

In June 2020, lindong town jurisdiction 33 administrative villages. The people's government of the town is stationed in the urban area of Lindong Township.
