Longchang Town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chifeng City, Bahrain Left Banner, is located in the southeastern part of Bahrain Left Banner, connected with the pioneer township and Shuangsheng Township of Arukolqin Banner in the east, connected with the township of Baozhibeisu of Bahrain Right Banner in the south, bordering with the Chaganhaddar Submu in the west, and adjoining with the town of Longchang in the north. The administrative area of Longchang Town is 834.01 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Longchang Town had a household population of 50,542.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Longchang belonged to Bahrain Right Banner. During the Republic of China period, it was assigned to Lindong County belonging to three districts, called Xiaojieji. During the pseudo-Manchukuo period, it was the Dele District of Bahrain Right Banner.In July 1952, it was transferred to Bahrain Left Banner and renamed Longchang District.In 1956, it was divided into 3 townships, namely Damiao, Longchang, and Maobaolige.In 1958, it was established as Wulantaihai Commune.In 1984, it was changed to Longchang Township.In the same year, it was divided into 7 villages, such as Half-La Shihou and Xiao Erbaodi, to form the township of Maobaolige.In 2005, the townships of Baining Aobao and Maobaolige were merged into the township. As of June 2020, Longchang Township jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages. The people's government is located in Longchang Village.
In 2018, Longchang Township had 3 industrial enterprises and 388 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
