Shangtang Township, under the Jiangxi Province, Jiujiang City, Wuning County, is located in the northwestern part of Wuning County, the middle part of the Mufu Mountains, the southern foot of the Jugong Mountains, Gan-Eqiang border; ancient inter-provincial stagecoach "Wu Chu Xiongguan", the north through the Thorny Chuchu, south of the Wu Yue, is the main passage of one of the E-Gan; the east, south, and west and the Funatan Township borders the north and the border with the Tongshan County, Hubei Province.
