Jiujiang City has announced the development positioning of the Poyang Lake Eco-Technology City. Guided by the basic principles of “planning-led, mechanism innovation, flexible policies, efficiency first, and shared outcomes,” and adhering to the development philosophy that “ecology is the foundation, technology is the hallmark, innovation is the driving force, and development is the goal,” the city will implement a management system featuring “municipal-level decision-making, joint construction by the city and districts, and independent operation,” as well as an operational mechanism characterized by “block-based allocation, closed-loop operation, and pilot initiatives.” The city is fully committed to building Jiujiang’s “Special Economic Zone.”Guided by this development philosophy, the Poyang Lake Eco-Tech City is being planned and constructed with the aim of establishing it as a National Demonstration Zone for Independent Innovation, a Model Zone for Green Development in Jiangxi, and a Pioneer Zone for Emerging Industries in Jiujiang.
The Poyang Lake Eco-Tech City has a total planned area of 158.53 square kilometers,with a core area of 37.73 square kilometers and an initial development zone of 10.9 square kilometers. Distinct from traditional economic development zones, it is an eco-city featuring comprehensive supporting facilities, distinctive industrial characteristics, flexible institutional mechanisms, and prominent vitality. It also serves as a key platform for Jiujiang to optimize its industrial spatial layout, explore new paths for reform and development, and build a new engine for innovation-driven growth in the coming period.
