Futian Township, belonging to Wuning County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwestern part of Wuning County, bordering Songxi Township in the east, separated from Zhelin Reservoir in the south and Shidu Township and Xinning Township in the south, adjoining Lixi Township in the west and connecting to Dongtong Township in the north. The total administrative area is 202.92 square kilometers.
In the old days, the territory of Futian Township was twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-nine, forty-two all, which belonged to the North Township and the Lower South Township; in 1984, the Ganlou Commune was abolished to be changed into a township and renamed as Futian Township. As of June 2020, there are 7 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Futian Township. The people's government of the township is No. 1, Happiness Road, Futian Township.
As of the end of June 2021, Futian Township has accomplished the financial tax revenue of 66.71 million.
