Dazhi Town, belonging to Fujian Province, Putian City, Xianyou County, is located in the western suburbs of Xianyou County, east of the street of Leicheng, south and southwest of the town adjoining Longhua, west of the border with Yongchun County, northwest of the town of Duowei neighboring the north and northeast, respectively, and the community of boron, Shu Feng Township borders. The administrative area covers 115.44 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Dazhi Town has a household population of 97,511. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it belonged to the sixth district of Xianyou County.In September 1958, Dazi Commune was established.In November 1984, it was renamed Dazi Township.In November 1992, the township was changed to a town. As of October 2021, Dazhi Township has 1 community and 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
