Beibi Township, belonging to Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the southwestern tip of Xiapu County, the southern section of Dongchong Peninsula, the northeast border with the town of Xiuhu, east, west and southwest of Xiyang Island, Ningde City, and Luoyuan County, respectively, across the sea, and northwest of the border Guanjing Ocean. Dongchongkou is the confluence of internal and external seas, and is the throat of Sandu Harbor. The People's Government of the township is 39.2 kilometers away from Xiapu County, with a total area of 71.6 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Beibi Township was 19,719.
It belonged to Lianjiang County from the second year of Chang'an (702) of the Tang Wuzhou to the third year of Yuanfeng (1073) of the Song Dynasty; in July 1986, it was separated from Xiashu Township and divided into Xiashu Township and Beibi Township. As of June 2020, Beibi Township has 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction; the township people's government is located in Beibi Village.
