Xiahu Town, belonging to Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the south of Xiapu County, the middle part of Dongchong Peninsula, adjacent to Changchun Town in the east, bordering Beibi Township in the west, bordering Dongwu Ocean in the north, and Xinan Township, Shajiang Township across the ocean, and Xiyang Island across the sea in the south, the township people's government from Xiapu urban area of 31 kilometers, the area covers a total area of 102.68 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Xiapu Town was 36,566. From the second year of Chang'an in Wuzhou, Tang Dynasty (702) to the third year of Yuanfeng in Song Dynasty (1080), the coastal villages around Yanting to Shihu and the realm west of Xiahu Village belonged to Lianjiang County, and the rest of the realm belonged to Lianhai in Andong Township; in July 1986, it was divided into Xiahu Township and Beibi Township.
