Wubao Town is located in the lower edge of the Jiangbei District. 1995 by the former Jiangbei County transferred to the jurisdiction of the Jiangbei District. The area of the township is 40.78 square kilometers, with 14,500 acres of arable land. The current population of the township is 13,700, with agricultural population accounting for more than 88.27%. It has 7 villages, 105 cooperatives and 1 neighborhood committee under its jurisdiction. The Yangtze River and the Yulin River system flow through the township, and the topography and geomorphology belong to the terrain of the middle hills and middle valleys along the river valleys.
